Sometimes the best thing you can do for a backyard is tear it all out and start fresh. That's exactly where we are on this Willowick job. The old shed, deck, play set, and fence - all of it - is gone. What we're left with is open ground and a whole lot of potential.

Before any new work goes in, the slate has to be clean. That means more than just hauling stuff away. It means getting the ground right. Next up on this one is yard regrading, which is the step most homeowners don't think about until they've got standing water problems or an uneven base that causes headaches down the road. We handle that before anything else gets built on top of it.

The CAT mini excavator is doing exactly what it's built for here - working in a tight residential space without tearing up what's around it. That compact footprint matters when you're working between houses. You get the power of real excavation equipment without turning the whole property into a mess.

Once the regrading is done, a new fence goes in, followed by a stamped concrete patio. It's a full backyard overhaul from the ground up - literally. This is what site work and dirt work look like when they're done as part of a bigger picture, not just as an afterthought.

We'll keep posting as this one comes together. The before is always a little rough, but that's the point. Stay tuned.
